On behalf of Shalom College and the Catholic Education Office of Rockhampton, today we bid farewell to the wonderful young women and men who have been the Year 12 Class of 2017. We congratulate them on their achievements and thank them for all they have contributed to this school community.
Although today they leave their school community as graduating students, they take with them our heartfelt prayers and our very best wishes that their hopes and dreams for the future will be realised.
We hope they will always remember fondly their years with Catholic Education and that we have helped, in partnership with their parents, to nurture in them a love of God, a love of their neighbour and a lifelong love of learning. We pray their faith, their values and the life skills they have acquired will help them successfully meet the challenges that life will place before them. As today we share their excitement for what is to come, we ask that we pray for their wellbeing in the days, months and years ahead.
