Parents of award recipients have been e-mailed an Invitation to the 2019 Academic Awards Evening.

The Awards Evening will be live streamed – the link will be shared on the Shalom College Facebook page and on this page before 4pm, for a live stream start time of 6:30pm (on Wednesday 13 November).

Photos taken on the night will be available for parents to download within the coming weeks. Details of this will be communicated via e-mail to parents and announced in the Shalom College Newsletter when available.

An e-mail was sent to all parents of award recipients – If you have not already RSVP’d via the link in the e-mail please do so at your earliest convenience. The RSVP link also has the option to select a printed copy of the programme which will be available from the office from Monday, 18 November.

Year 7 to 9


Academic, Studentship and All Rounder Awards

  • Academic Excellence Awards are allocated to students in each year level who have achieved a pre-determined number of ‘A’ standards across the subjects they have studied for the year to the end of Term 3.
  • Students who have been consistently diligent in their approach to their academic studies, who have been active participants in class and who have completed all tasks to the best of their ability may receive a Studentship Award.
  • The Year 7-9 All Rounder Award is given to a male and a female student in Year 7, 8 and 9 in recognition of consistency across the curriculum. The curriculum is more than just studies in the classroom; it also includes involvement in extra-curricular activities within the College community.

Year 10 to 12


Subject Prizes, Academic and Studentship Awards

  • Students who have achieved first place in each of the discipline areas will receive the Subject Prize.
  • Academic Excellence Awards and Studentship Award are also awarded to Year 10, 11 and 12 students. See descriptions above.
