Teacher – Performing Arts

This is a full-time continuing position

Start date: January 2021

A Teacher of Performing Arts is required for a continuing full time position at Shalom College. The successful applicant will be required to be quite autonomous in the teaching and development of Dance, Drama or Music across the College as well as working collaboratively across all subjects within the Performing Arts Department in a curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular capacity.

  • Energy and enthusiasm for development and excellence within the Performing Arts

It is said that the position of the arts in a school curriculum symbolizes to the young what adults believe is important. Each year, the popularity of arts subjects continues to expand. The position of Teacher – Performing Arts will be responsible for teaching subjects such as; Drama, Dance and Music as well as assisting with some of the cultural activities at Shalom College including:

  • College Musical Production
  • Shalom "Showcase" Gala Evening
  • Dance Night
  • Dance Performance Nights for Individual Classes
  • Music Concerts

Shalom College is fortunate enough to have some exceptional resources including a remarkable Performing Arts Precinct and dedicated band and music practice centre including a state-of-the-art recording studio.
