ANZAC Day 2026: As a College community, we paused with gratitude and respect to honour the service and sacrifice of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served our nation.
On Thursday, we gathered for our ANZAC Liturgy, taking time to reflect, remember and pray for peace throughout the world. We thank all those who contributed to this meaningful occasion and helped create a reverent and fitting tribute.
On Saturday, almost 300 Shalom College students and staff proudly represented our community across the Bundaberg region. The College marched in the Bargara Dawn Service and the Bundaberg Civic Service, with many students also attending and marching independently in services at Agnes Water, Rosedale, Moore Park Beach, Elliott Heads, Gin Gin, Childers and Woodgate Beach.
It was inspiring to see such strong participation, with students demonstrating respect, pride and a deep understanding of the significance of the day. We also acknowledge the many students who took part in other roles within their local services.
Thank you to all students, staff and families who contributed to these commemorations and represented the College so well across the region.
Lest we forget.
