In the lead up to the Round 24 clash against the Dolphins in Bundaberg on Saturday, Shalom College was thrilled to welcome Canterbury Bulldogs NRL players Ryan Sutton and Karl Oloapu this morning. They shared their journeys, experiences, and pathways to the NRL with our Year 10 and 11 students, highlighting the importance of mental wellbeing, nutrition, resilience, persistence in achieving goals, and making wise life choices and sacrifices.
It was a pleasure to have both players visit, and we’re confident that our students gained valuable insights from their time with these inspiring young men.
Thank you to the Bulldogs for giving us the opportunity to have these players visit our school, and all the best for the remainder of 2024.
