Selected students in Years 7 to 10 were delighted to take part in the First Draft Writers Festival here at Shalom. We were lucky enough to have four visiting authors present to our students, running writing workshops and answering questions about all things writing and literature.
At the end of the day, the Shalom Literary Wonders Writing Competition winners were announced and awards were presented to students with the help of author Craig Mulhall. These students submitted short stories or poetry that used the theme of ‘Magic’. Congratulations to our first place winners Waylen, Asha, Callum and Lexi.
A special thanks to our authors: Sueellen Pashley, S R Silcox, Rikke Justesen and Craig Mulhall. Students were the first to see Craig Mulhall’s latest novel, Metropolis, and it is now available at The Book Boutique!
