Today, after 33 years within the College Office and leading the Finance Team here at Shalom College, Lisa is retiring.
Commencing at Shalom College in October 1992, Lisa has given an extraordinary 33 years of service to this community. Over those three decades, she has worked with five of the seven Principals who have led Shalom - a remarkable testament to her dedication and the trust placed in her by every leader who has passed through our gates.
She has been, in every sense, the spirit and face of Catholic Education at Shalom College.
We want to thank her for her stewardship of the College during these 33 years. When we look around at Shalom - at all that we are blessed with in terms of our finances, our facilities, and our resources - it is impossible not to see her influence. She has been an outstanding steward, and she has played an enormous part in shaping Shalom into the thriving community it is today.
To put it in financial terms: Shalom owes her a debt of gratitude that we can never repay. Her dedication and service have been exceptional. We cannot find the right words to fully express the value she has added to our Shalom community.
As for retirement, Lisa has no grand plans - just the hope for some time to rest, to breathe, and to enjoy a little stillness after a lifetime of service. And truly, she has earned it!
God bless you, Lisa Castro. Shalom Chaverim. ❤️🖤🤍
