Much loved staff member Kerry Bolam

22 Oct 2019

Dear Shalom College Community,

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Kerry Bolam Sunday morning.

Kerry was widely respected by staff, students and parents. As a teacher’s aide, who oversaw the running of the student study room, Kerry developed strong relationships with the students. His caring nature placed him as a confidante to many of our young people who looked up to him as a man of genuine warmth.

At his bedside last Thursday, Mr McMahon was able to spend some time with Kerry. At this visit he gave Kerry letters of love and appreciation from some of our students.

Although Kerry will be missed by everyone in the Shalom community, it is comforting to think that he must surely now be with God. Kerry embodied the Christian ideals that we all strive for in our journeys.

Farewell “Mr Kerry”. You have touched the lives of so many. You have been a loving presence to us all. You now sit with God where you will continue to look down on Shalom and all who pass through our doors.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Debbie and their girls.

May he rest in peace.

Relatives and friends of the late Kerry Bolam are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of his Life to be held at the Chapel of Des Allen & Co. Funerals, 7 Phoebe Crescent SATURDAY October 26, 2019 at 10.00am prior to Private Cremation at Springfield Gardens Crematorium, Elliott Heads.

By request, no flowers, donations to ‘headspace Bundaberg’ would be preferred. (Envelopes at Service)

There will be a book at the Service for people to put memories in. It would be great if people could prepare their message beforehand and leave it the basket provided. The messages will be for Debbie and the Bolam Family to keep.
