Last week, two past Bundaberg Catholic Education students (Felise Kaufusi and Coen Hess) took part in the NRL Grand Final. Special congratulations go to 2009 Shalom graduate, Felise Kaufusi, on the career topping highlight he created as part of his Melbourne Storm team. Kaufusi not only got himself over the line individually, but his team collectively, in taking out the NRL premiership for 2017. Further success followed as he was named in the Kangaroo World Cup Squad. Congratulations to Felise! We are blessed to have Felise's brother, Antonio Kaufusi, who also wore the green and gold, an integral part of our Shalom Rugby League program!
It was also rewarding to have past Shalom student, Jacob O'Shea, acknowledge the part Shalom College played in his football journey. O'Shea captained his Redcliffe Dolphins side to winning the Queensland Super Cup in Brisbane last week.
It is always heart warming to see past students rewarded for hard work and dedication, in whatever field they choose.
